Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s in School Counseling Programs
We confirmed 17 CACREP-accredited school counseling master’s programs that offer an accelerated pathway from a bachelor’s degree. Undergraduates take graduate counseling courses early, usually as juniors or seniors, and some of those credits count toward both degrees. Each pathway is open only to that university’s own undergraduates, and none shortens the required supervised fieldwork.
Priya is a psychology sophomore who already knows she wants to work in a high school counseling office. Her advisor mentions that if she applies in the spring of her junior year, she can take two graduate counseling courses as a senior. Those courses will count toward both her bachelor’s and her master’s. That’s an accelerated bachelor’s-to-master’s pathway, and a handful of universities with CACREP-accredited school counseling programs offer one.
This guide explains how these pathways work, who they fit, and which accredited school counseling programs offer them.
How Accelerated Bachelor’s-to-Master’s Pathways Work
Most pathways work by sharing credits. You take a few graduate counseling courses during your undergraduate years, and the university counts them toward both degrees. The amount varies a lot. The University of Toledo allows up to two graduate courses (eight credit hours) in the final undergraduate year. John Carroll double-counts nine credits. Caldwell, Gwynedd Mercy, Longwood, Scranton and VCU each describe up to 12. The University of Southern Maine says students can save up to 18 credits.
A few universities structure it differently. Hood College’s 4PLUS program expects students to take courses over the summer or during January term to finish both degrees sooner. The University of Puget Sound’s pathway is aimed at students who arrive with three or four AP, IB or other advanced credits. At New York Institute of Technology, psychology students apply after three years of undergraduate study and then move into the graduate program.
Total time varies too, so read each university’s own timeline. NYIT describes five years for both degrees, and VCU describes six. Walsh University gives a longer figure, about six and a half years to meet the educational requirements for licensure, which its write-up below explains.
Who Qualifies
These pathways are built for a university’s own undergraduates, usually in a related major like psychology, human services or behavioral science. Most set a GPA bar and a point in your program when you can apply. Caldwell requires a 3.3 GPA and at least 60 undergraduate credits, and Walsh expects students to keep a 3.3 GPA throughout the bachelor’s. Hood asks for a 3.25 GPA in the psychology major and a 3.0 overall. Gardner-Webb takes applications once you’re registered for 90 credit hours and adds an interview. John Carroll lets you apply at 75 credits if you’re on track to reach 90 before graduate courses start.
What Doesn’t Speed Up
Fieldwork is the same no matter how you enter the master’s. CACREP requires at least a 100-hour practicum and a 600-hour internship, and those hours happen after you’ve moved into the graduate program. An accelerated pathway shortens coursework, not supervised practice. If you want a sense of that phase, here’s what the internship year actually looks like.
Getting into the pathway also isn’t the same as getting into the master’s. Hood, for example, says admission to its M.S. in Counseling isn’t automatic and that 4PLUS students still apply and interview. Ask each program exactly what happens at the transition point.
Is an Accelerated Pathway Right for You?
The biggest trade-off is timing. You’re committing to a graduate program before you’ve finished college, sometimes earlier than you’d expect. Scranton asks students to commit no later than the end of their junior year, and Hood wants students planning with an advisor in their first semester.
That commitment is easier to undo than it sounds at some schools. At Caldwell, if you withdraw from graduate study before finishing the master’s, the graduate credits you took count only toward your bachelor’s. Transfer students can sometimes join, too. Hood says transfers may be admitted but may not finish both degrees as quickly as students who started there.
A pathway makes the most sense if you’re already fairly sure about school counseling and you’re enrolled at, or choosing, a university that offers one. If you’re still deciding between counseling, social work and school psychology, a standard bachelor’s keeps more doors open. Our overview of how to become a school counselor walks through the full path.

Dates show each program’s current CACREP accreditation cycle, as listed in the CACREP register on September 30, 2026. They don’t show eligibility for state school counselor certification.
Caldwell University: Combined B.A. in Psychology/M.A. in Counseling
Best for: Psychology majors who want to keep both school counseling and professional counselor licensure on the table
Location: Caldwell, NJ | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: Up to 12
Pathway: B.A. in Psychology to M.A. in Counseling, School Counseling Specialization
When to apply: After 60 undergraduate credits, with a 3.3 GPA
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2029
Caldwell’s combined program lets psychology majors start the master’s while they’re still undergraduates, and it’s open to all three of the university’s counseling tracks, including school counseling. You take one graduate course per semester, and up to 12 counseling credits count toward both degrees. School counseling candidates swap undergraduate courses for graduate ones like Introduction to School Counseling and College and Career Counseling for School Counselors, so you’re studying the job itself before you graduate.
The master’s includes an LPC option that Caldwell says meets New Jersey’s school counselor requirements and the coursework requirements for New Jersey professional counselor licensure. That’s worth knowing at 20, because it keeps the door open to clinical work later without starting another degree.
Good to know: You’ll need at least three of the master’s psychology prerequisites before you’re accepted. If you leave graduate study before finishing, the shared credits count only toward your B.A.
Duquesne University: Early Start Program, M.S.Ed. in School Counseling
Best for: Students in any major who want to try graduate counseling courses before fully committing
Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate courses: Up to five
Pathway: Any Duquesne bachelor’s to M.S.Ed. in School Counseling
When to apply: As an undergraduate with a GPA above 3.0
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through April 30, 2034 (Progress Report Required)
Duquesne opens its Early Start program to undergraduates across the university, not just education majors. You can take up to five courses in the school counseling master’s before you finish your bachelor’s. The admissions page calls it a 5-Year Early Start Graduate Program. It asks for your Duquesne transcript and a recommendation from a Duquesne faculty member, so building a relationship with a professor early pays off here.
The master’s has no undergraduate prerequisites beyond the bachelor’s itself and takes about 2.5 years at 9 to 12 credits a semester. Late-afternoon and early-evening classes are an option. Duquesne says the program meets the academic requirements in Pennsylvania for both school counseling certification and professional counselor (LPC) licensure.
Gardner-Webb University: School Counseling Accelerated Master’s Program
Best for: Gardner-Webb psychology majors who know by junior year that they want to work in a school
Location: Boiling Springs, NC | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate courses: Two that double as psychology electives
Pathway: B.S. in Psychology to M.A. in School Counseling
When to apply: Once you’re registered for 90 credit hours
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through April 30, 2033
Gardner-Webb’s SC-AMP lets psychology majors begin the M.A. in School Counseling while finishing the B.S. You apply once you’re registered for 90 credit hours, get your course plan approved by both your undergraduate advisor and the program’s advisor, and interview. Counseling Theories and Multicultural Counseling can each fill a 400-level psychology elective, so the early graduate work doesn’t add extra semesters to your bachelor’s.
Plan your prerequisites early. Gardner-Webb requires abnormal psychology or psychopathology before its graduate psychopathology course, and a classroom management course before the school counseling practicum. The university describes the master’s as fully online with a mix of live and self-paced learning, and CACREP’s directory lists digital delivery as accredited since February 2026 alongside the Boiling Springs campus.
Gwynedd Mercy University: 4+2 Early Entry to the M.S. in Counseling
Best for: Psychology majors who want a head start on an online master’s
Location: Gwynedd Valley, PA | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: Up to 12
Pathway: Psychology bachelor’s to M.S. in Counseling, School Counseling concentration
When to apply: Before your senior year, when the graduate courses begin
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2032
GMercyU’s 4+2 Early Entry lets psychology majors take four master’s courses as undergraduate electives: Counseling Skills, Foundations of Counseling, Theories in Counseling, and Ethical and Legal Issues in Counseling. The pathway launched in 2024-25. Once you’re in the master’s, you choose the school counseling or clinical mental health concentration.
The M.S. in School Counseling is a 60-credit, 2.5-year online program with an on-campus residency, built around the ASCA National Model and Pennsylvania K-12 certification. The GRE is waived if you have a 3.0 GPA.
Good to know: Online delivery is as described by the university. CACREP’s record does not confirm the format. GMercyU’s route to clinical mental health licensure is a separate certificate after the school counseling master’s, not a combined track.
Hood College: 4PLUS Psychology or Art Therapy to M.S. in Counseling
Best for: Students who want a planned dual-degree path from their first semester, including art therapy majors
Location: Frederick, MD | Master’s credits: 60 | Pace: Summer and January-term courses
Pathway: B.A. in Psychology or Art Therapy to M.S. in Counseling, School Counseling specialization
To qualify: 3.25 GPA in the major and 3.0 overall
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2027 (Reaffirmation in Process)
Hood’s 4PLUS program pairs a B.A. in Psychology with the M.S. in Counseling, and a second version does the same for Art Therapy majors. You map out your coursework with a faculty advisor in your first semester and take summer or January-term courses to finish faster. Hood says the art therapy route fits students who plan to use art therapy within counseling, not students who want to practice only as art therapists.
The master’s prepares students for Maryland school counselor certification while also meeting the academic requirements for professional counselor (LCPC) licensure. Classes run in late afternoons, evenings and on weekends, and Hood points to guaranteed field placements through formal school partnerships. Every school counseling student needs a 3-credit special education course, and Hood accepts it at the undergraduate or graduate level.
Good to know: Admission to the M.S. isn’t automatic. 4PLUS students still apply and interview. Transfer students may join but may not finish both degrees as quickly.
John Carroll University: Accelerated Dual Degree to School Counseling
Best for: Students in any major, especially psychology, who want graduate courses to count toward their senior-year requirements
Location: University Heights, OH | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: 9 shared, up to 9 more on request
Pathway: Any undergraduate major to M.Ed. in School Counseling
When to apply: After 75 credits, if you’re on track for 90 before graduate courses start
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2029 (Progress Report Required)
JCU’s Accelerated Dual Degree is open to students from any undergraduate major, with dedicated pathways for psychology and for gender, sexuality and women’s studies majors. Students must complete at least 90 credits before starting graduate courses, and they may apply after earning 75 credits if they’re on track to reach 90 first. Nine graduate credits count toward both degrees in the senior year. Psychology majors can use Orientation to Counseling and Counseling Theories as major electives, so the shared credits slot into requirements you’d take anyway.
The M.Ed. is designed to meet the Ohio Department of Education’s academic requirements and CACREP standards. Classes meet in the late afternoon and evening with small class sizes, and there’s no GRE. John Carroll states that students must pass the applicable State of Ohio school counselor licensure assessment.
Longwood University: Accelerated Master’s Track in Counselor Education
Best for: Longwood undergraduates who want to stay on campus for a Virginia-focused master’s
Location: Farmville, VA | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: 12 in senior year
Pathway: Longwood bachelor’s to M.S. in Counselor Education, School Counseling concentration
Format: In person, year-round, full-time or part-time
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through March 31, 2028
Longwood’s Accelerated Master’s Track lets eligible undergraduates take 12 graduate credits as seniors, and Longwood says those credits may count toward both degrees. The track belongs to the Counselor Education program, which offers school counseling and mental health counseling concentrations. Longwood’s page doesn’t tie the track to one concentration, so confirm the school counseling route with the program when you apply.
The master’s is taught in person and runs year-round. The 100-hour practicum starts near the beginning of the second year, and the 600-hour internship is usually spread across two semesters. The coursework also covers the didactic training requirements for Virginia’s Certified Substance Abuse Counselor credential, a useful add-on in schools where substance use comes up.
Good to know: Longwood says the program was designed to meet licensure requirements only in Virginia.
Malone University: Psychology to Counseling Accelerated Program
Best for: Psychology majors who want a Christian university and a flexible master’s format
Location: Canton, OH | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: 12 (four courses)
Pathway: B.A. in Psychology or Applied Psychology to M.A.Ed. in School Counseling
Master’s length: 2 to 3.5 years, per the university
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2028
Malone launched its psychology-to-counseling program in fall 2022. You take four three-credit courses from the master’s while finishing your bachelor’s, and those credits count toward the M.A.Ed. Malone’s department chair has described the program as preparing students to serve in a way that reflects the university’s values as a Christian institution.
Malone describes the school counseling master’s as fully online, with multiple start dates and synchronous or asynchronous course options. If you want to keep clinical work open too, Malone also offers a combined clinical mental health and school counseling route at 81 credits.
Good to know: Online delivery is as described by the university. CACREP’s record does not confirm the format. Malone’s separate social work-to-counseling route leads to professional counselor licensure in clinical mental health, not school counseling.
National Louis University: Accelerated Pathway into School Counseling Careers
Best for: Juniors and seniors in social science majors, including criminal justice and human services, who want financial support
Location: Chicago, IL | Early graduate courses: Four
Pathway: Psychology, social work, human services, criminal justice, applied behavioral sciences or applied educational studies to M.S. in School Counseling
When to apply: Junior or senior year
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through March 31, 2028 (Reaffirmation in Process)
NLU built this pathway specifically for school counseling, not general counseling. Juniors and seniors take four graduate counseling courses, including Professional Practice and Ethics in Counseling, Theories of Counseling and Counseling for Career Development. Those courses count toward an Accelerated Pathways School Counseling Concentration in the bachelor’s and toward the master’s, and NLU describes a direct transition into the graduate program.
NLU mentions scholarships and internship stipends for the pathway, which matters when fieldwork limits how much you can work. The master’s prepares students for an Illinois Professional Educator License with a school counseling endorsement, and NLU’s counseling program also offers a clinical mental health concentration.
New York Institute of Technology: Psychology, B.S./School Counseling, M.S.
Best for: Psychology students who plan to work as school counselors in New York
Location: Old Westbury, NY | Total credits: 164 | Total time: Five years
Pathway: B.S. in Psychology to M.S. in School Counseling
When to apply: After three years of undergraduate study
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2031
NYIT’s combined program is one of the most clearly structured on this list. You study psychology for three years, then students with strong academic records apply to move into the graduate school counseling program. NYIT’s semester map lays out all 164 credits across five years, so you can see exactly where each course falls before you commit.
Graduate coursework covers leadership, group counseling, working with students with special needs, college counseling and school violence prevention, along with courses like Post-Secondary Transitions and College Counseling and Trauma and Crisis Counseling. NYIT says graduates are prepared to apply for a New York provisional certificate in school counseling.
Pennsylvania Western University: Accelerated Bachelor’s-to-Master’s in Counseling
Best for: Psychology majors at a public university who want the option of finishing the master’s online
Location: California, PA, and online | Master’s credits: 60 | Launched: Fall 2025
Pathway: Psychology bachelor’s to M.S. in Counseling, School Counseling concentration
When graduate courses start: Junior and senior years
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through March 31, 2033 (Progress Report Required with a Notice of Concern)
PennWest began this pathway in fall 2025. Qualified psychology majors take master’s coursework in their junior and senior years. To join, you apply to the graduate school and meet its admission criteria, other than already holding a bachelor’s. Grades from those graduate courses count in both your undergraduate and graduate GPAs, so treat them seriously from day one.
The M.S. in Counseling offers clinical mental health and school counseling concentrations on campus at PennWest California or 100% online. PennWest says the school counseling concentration satisfies the requirements for Pennsylvania PK-12 school counseling certification eligibility and that graduates are also eligible to pursue professional counselor licensure in Pennsylvania.
Good to know: Online delivery is as described by the university. CACREP’s record does not confirm the format. The pathway doesn’t include PennWest’s art therapy concentration.
University of Puget Sound: Accelerated Program Pathway to the M.Ed. in Counseling
Best for: Students who arrive at college with AP or IB credit and an early interest in counseling
Location: Tacoma, WA | Master’s length: Two years
Pathway: Puget Sound bachelor’s to M.Ed. in Counseling, School Counseling
To qualify: At least three or four AP, IB or other advanced credits when you enter
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through March 31, 2031
Puget Sound’s pathway is for strong undergraduates interested in school counseling or mental health counseling who identify that interest early and enter the university with at least three or four AP, IB or other advanced credits. If you’re a high school senior with that credit already banked, this is one to note while you’re still choosing colleges. Puget Sound publishes a curriculum guide for the pathway, so ask the School of Education how the timeline works for your situation.
The M.Ed. is offered in person and in a hybrid format with two on-campus residency weekends a year, built around a small-cohort model with close faculty mentorship. Puget Sound says school counseling candidates earn the M.Ed. and a Washington State residency certificate in school counseling in two years, and the program is approved by Washington’s Professional Educator Standards Board.
University of Scranton: Accelerated B.S./M.S. in Counseling and Human Services
Best for: Undergraduates who want a human services bachelor’s that carries its own credential
Location: Scranton, PA | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: Up to 12
Pathway: B.S. in Counseling and Human Services to M.S. in School Counseling
When to commit: No later than the end of junior year
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2031
Scranton’s Counseling and Human Services majors with strong academic records can complete up to 12 graduate credits as undergraduates and receive early admission to the school counseling master’s. The bachelor’s has value on its own, too. It’s accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Services Education, and graduates can apply for the Certified Human Services Professional credential through the National Organization for Human Services.
The 60-credit M.S. in School Counseling is an on-campus program where students practice counseling skills and record and re-watch their sessions to improve. Scranton says graduates meet the academic requirements for Pennsylvania’s Educational Specialist I certificate in elementary or secondary school counseling.
University of Southern Maine: Counseling Accelerated Graduate Pathway
Best for: Maine students in the social and behavioral sciences who want to stay at a public university
Location: Gorham, ME | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: Up to 18
Pathway: B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Counseling Concentration, to M.S. in Counseling, School Counseling concentration
When graduate courses start: Final undergraduate year
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2027 (Reaffirmation in Process)
USM’s pathway is open to students who declare the Social and Behavioral Sciences major with a counseling concentration. In your final undergraduate year, you take graduate counseling courses that count toward both the major and the M.S. in Counseling, as long as you meet the program’s progress standards and graduate admission requirements. USM says students can save up to 18 credits, the largest figure on this list.
The M.S. in Counseling offers school counseling alongside clinical mental health and rehabilitation counseling concentrations, and USM describes flexible scheduling and online options for its concentrations.
University of Toledo: Psychology, B.A. to Counselor Education, M.A.
Best for: Psychology majors who want a public-university campus program with evening classes
Location: Toledo, OH | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate credits: Up to 8 (two courses)
Pathway: B.A. in Psychology to M.A. in Counselor Education, School Counseling concentration
When graduate courses start: Final undergraduate year
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2029 (Progress Report Required)
Toledo’s combined program links the B.A. in Psychology to the M.A. in Counselor Education. Students can take up to two graduate courses, eight credit hours, in their final undergraduate year. Toledo says undergraduate financial aid can apply to graduate courses taken this way, and it suggests connecting with your undergraduate advisor to get started.
The master’s is campus-based, and all classes meet once a week in the early evening, with summer courses available. That schedule leaves room for a daytime job while you finish coursework, though fieldwork will still need school-day hours.
Virginia Commonwealth University: Accelerated B.S. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Counselor Education
Best for: Psychology majors at a large public university who want preparation for both school counseling and the LPC
Location: Richmond, VA | Total credits: 168 | Total time: Six years
Pathway: B.S. in Psychology to M.Ed. in Counselor Education, School Counseling concentration
Early graduate credits: Up to 12, taken in senior year
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through April 30, 2034
VCU’s accelerated program lets psychology majors count up to 12 graduate credits toward both the B.S. and the M.Ed., finishing both degrees in six years with 168 credits instead of the 180 they’d take separately. VCU frames the psychology degree as a foundation in human behavior, learning and cognition for graduate study in counselor education.
The M.Ed. offers school counseling alongside couples and family counseling and college counseling concentrations. VCU says the school counseling course sequence also meets Virginia’s educational requirements for the Licensed Professional Counselor credential, in addition to school counseling licensure.
Walsh University: Combined B.A./M.A. in Behavioral Science and Counseling
Best for: Students who want a behavioral science bachelor’s tied to a school or dual-track counseling master’s
Location: North Canton, OH | Master’s credits: 60 | Early graduate courses: Four
Pathway: B.A. in Behavioral Science to M.A. in Counseling and Human Development
To qualify: 3.3 undergraduate GPA, maintained throughout
Accreditation: CACREP-accredited through October 31, 2031
Walsh admits combined students to both the B.A. and the M.A. at the same time. With advisor permission, you take four graduate courses during the last four semesters of the bachelor’s. You also choose a school counseling track or a dual track in school and clinical mental health counseling. Walsh describes an integrated pathway that can meet educational requirements for school counseling or clinical mental health counseling in approximately six and a half years. Graduates must separately satisfy the applicable state credentialing requirements.
Walsh also offers the school counseling master’s online, with five start dates a year and no required campus visits, per the university. Ask which format the combined program uses once you move into graduate study.
How This List Was Built
Every program here is accredited by CACREP as a School Counseling program, verified against the CACREP register on September 30, 2026. A university appears only if its own website names a pathway into that program, and a counseling master’s counts when pathway students can choose the school counseling track. Campus-wide policies that let any undergraduate take a graduate course aren’t included. Pathway details were checked on each university’s website in October 2026. The list isn’t a complete count, because a university may offer a pathway it doesn’t describe online. Programs are listed alphabetically, not ranked, and tuition isn’t shown because universities bill shared credits in different ways.
CACREP accredits counseling degree programs. It does not issue state school counselor licenses or certifications, and CACREP accreditation alone does not establish eligibility for certification in every state.
Completing a master’s program does not automatically qualify graduates for school counselor certification or licensure in every state. Requirements vary by state and may include a state-approved preparation program, required examinations, background checks, and additional conditions. Check with the educator credentialing agency in the state where you intend to work, and review our guide to school counselor certification requirements by state.
How to Plan for It, Year by Year
In your first two years, pick a major that feeds the pathway and get the prerequisites done early. At Caldwell that means statistics, experimental psychology and a human development course. Gardner-Webb requires abnormal psychology or psychopathology before you take its graduate psychopathology course.
Junior year is usually when you apply. Caldwell takes applications after 60 credits, John Carroll at 75, Gardner-Webb at 90, and Scranton wants your commitment by the end of the year. Senior year is when the graduate courses start, typically one or two per semester alongside your remaining undergraduate work.
After you graduate, you move into the master’s with those credits already done. Fieldwork comes in the master’s years, so plan for at least two semesters of internship in a K-12 school.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is admission to the master’s guaranteed if I’m in an accelerated pathway?
Usually not. Most programs still expect you to meet graduate admission standards when you transition. Hood, for example, says 4PLUS students must apply and interview. Ask the program what happens if your GPA dips during the bachelor’s.
Can transfer students join an accelerated pathway?
Sometimes. Hood says transfer students may be admitted but may not finish both degrees as quickly. Most pathways set a credit threshold, so the earlier you transfer, the easier it is to fit the graduate courses in.
What happens if I change my mind about the master’s?
It depends on the university. At Caldwell, graduate credits you took count only toward your bachelor’s if you withdraw before finishing the master’s. Ask each program how it handles that before you enroll in graduate courses.
Does an accelerated pathway shorten the fieldwork?
No. CACREP requires at least a 100-hour practicum and a 600-hour internship, and those happen in the master’s program. The pathway saves time on coursework, not supervised practice.
What if my university doesn’t offer one?
You can still shorten your timeline at the master’s level. Some programs offer year-round or accelerated tracks, which we compare in our guide to the fastest school counseling master’s programs.
- Shared credits are the core idea. Undergraduates take 8 to 18 graduate counseling credits, depending on the university, that count toward both degrees.
- They’re for a university’s own students. You’ll usually need a related major, a minimum GPA and a set number of credits before you apply.
- Fieldwork doesn’t shrink. The 700-hour CACREP minimum still happens in the master’s years.
- Timelines vary. Universities that publish a figure describe five or six years for both degrees, and Walsh describes about six and a half years to meet educational requirements for licensure.
- Accreditation isn’t certification. CACREP accredits programs, and each state sets its own school counselor certification requirements.
If you’re still choosing a university, check whether its school counseling master’s has an early-entry route before you settle on a major. Then compare programs in the state where you plan to work.
